we need to make one thing clear. We have discounted the price of these boots because they are less known brands. They are Quality boots, at a fair price. These are real leather harness boots, not plastic junk and not the split leather stuff either.
Discount because they save you money over Top name brands like Frye & others which run $200 plus.
Here is a little break down of the quality. Gearbox Harness boots are our premium brand. They are made in Taiwan by factories that have been making American sized boots a lot longer than china has.
The Parent Company is better known. Gearbox is made By Golden Retriever a top quality brand. Gearbox boots makes both a brown and a black harness boot. The do not have any bling or stitching on the side , but are a top quality heavy oiled leather
The Middle brand is Ad Tec Harness boots. They are made in China. Yes, I know, you want made in the USA, However, The USA doesn't make boots any more. Even top brands that have USA towns as names are made in china these days.
Just ask Lacrosse Wisconsin. Their boots are made in china. Any way, you are getting boots made in China, but sold by a home town American born & raised Family owned business. Theshoeplace.biz.
Now back to the rest of our story.... Ad Tec Boots are thick, quality leather. They do have one boot that I am not proud of, But I do not offer it for sale unless you beg me and then I am straight forward and tell you, I would choose a different one if I were you.
Ad Tec Harness boots do not offer any bling either. There come with the standard o-ring harness boot. An Tec Harness boots only come in one color, BLACK. I am working with them to get brown and a few other options for the late fall of 2009.
Now the real discount brand. Xelement Harness boots. Xelement boots are real leather, however, I do see the quality is maybe an A- or B+ compared to Ad Tec Harness boots. Xelement harness boots come in brown or black and women's harness boots or men's harness boots,
and in short harness boots or the standard 13" harness boots. Xelement harness boots have a lot of bling or extra features. The Black Xelement Harness boots come in several design options. One with a flying Eagle sewn on the front like Harley boots, the other has eagles in place of the O ring. So you see, Xelement has quite the variety in a discount harness boot.
